Some Year 9 Weydon School students were lucky enough to meet winning author Paula Rawsthorne.  Paula won the School Library Service Award at the Hampshire Book Award Ceremony in Winchester for her book ‘Shell’.  This had been voted the winner by students who were thrilled to be able to meet her at the ceremony.

The students read a shortlist of 6 titles in the Spring term and then vote on their winner at the end of the summer term.

Mrs Angela Daniels, Head of the Learning Resource Centre at Weydon commented; “The students worked hard reading the books and discussing the different stories. The reward for all their hard work was the visit to meet the winner author Paula.”
